Program Details
Ages/Level: U10 and Up
Full Equipment Required
Instructor: Sean Goss, Hockey Coordinator
The Shooting & Scoring Development Clinic is designed for players who want to become more confident, consistent, and dangerous offensive threats. This program focuses on essential shooting mechanics and scoring concepts that directly translate into in-game success.
Players will work on:
- Refined mechanics for wrist, snap, and backhand shots
- Quick-release techniques and shooting in stride with speed
- Catch-and-release, one-touch shooting, and finishing off the pass
- Creating deception through angle changes, footwork, and puck positioning
- Net-front scoring tools: rebounds, tips, deflections, and in-tight finishes
- High-value scoring situations: rush entries, net drives, east-west plays, breakaways, and low-zone attacks
This clinic is ideal for developing competitive players who want to improve their scoring touch, build stronger offensive instincts, and consistently generate high-quality chances. Fast-paced reps and detailed coaching help players translate skill work directly into game performance.
GOALTENDeRS:
Goaltenders are encouraged to attend and will receive a mix of live-shot reps and limited position-specific instruction. Goalies will work on reading releases, tracking through traffic, handling east-west plays, and managing rebound situations that directly align with the scoring concepts taught in the clinic.
