Free Community Skate + Olympic-Themed Fun
Celebrate the spirit of the season at the Woodman’s Center Winter Games — an Olympic-inspired community event bringing families, friends, and skaters of all ages together on the ice. Skaters of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with music, friendly challenges, instructional clinics, and plenty of team spirit!
Schedule of Events
Opening Ceremony- 1pm-1:05p
- Ceremonial music will play as skaters enter the ice and begin their laps.
Ice Breaker Clinic: Try Skating Free- 1:05p-1:40p
- Staff will skate around encouraging beginning skaters to skate on their own/try new skills
- Interested participants for Try Skating Free are asked to register (FREE) here: Register For Activity
Mini Spin Clinic (1/2 ice)- 1:40p-1:55p
- Staff will teach basic spins to skaters
Hockey Skills Challenge (1/2 ice)- 1:40p-1:55p
- One net, one stick, and one puck will be brought out for skaters to attempt to make a goal!
Relay Challenge- 1:55p-2:15p
- Skaters will be divided into groups based off of ability and encouraged to race one another
Closing Ceremony- 2:15p-2:20p
- Skaters will take a final lap to ceremonial music
